I'm a psychotherapist practicing in Westwood, Los Angeles and am also a faculty member in the social work graduate program at California State University, Fullerton, training future therapists and social workers. Since obtaining my master of social work from Columbia University almost 15 years ago, I have had the privilege of counseling adults and teens of varying ethnicities and backgrounds and with diverse needs. Prior to starting my private practice, I worked in schools and hospitals in New York City, providing mental health services.

My approach to therapy is holistic, meaning I take into account your culture, family history, race/ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation, etc., and tailor treatments to your individual needs. I'll work with you in a collaborative and interactive way, providing feedback and helping you to gain insight and practical solutions. With warmth (and sometimes a little sense of humor), I will support yet challenge you - you've decided to come to therapy to change something(s) in your life so let's move you in the direction you seek.

Finding the right therapist can be tough. You want to know that you can trust this person and that they get you. That's why I offer free phone consultations. Feel free to call me and get all your questions answered. Not sure what to ask? That's ok. The conversation will usually give you a feel for whether or not this will be a good fit.
