ENM & POLYAMORY THERAPY
Non-Monogamy & Polyamory Therapy
Your Relationship Structure Isn't the Problem. But Relationships Still Have Problems.
Whether you’re practicing ethical non-monogamy, polyamory, an open relationship, or relationship anarchy, you deserve therapy where your relationship structure is understood—not treated as something to fix.
You shouldn’t have to spend your sessions explaining why you chose non-monogamy or convincing your therapist that your relationship is valid. We can get straight to the work: communication, trust, jealousy, boundaries, conflict, intimacy, and the patterns that are making your relationships harder than they need to be.
What We Can Work On
Navigating Jealousy & Insecurity
Jealousy isn't a character flaw, and you don't have to eliminate it to have healthy relationships. We can explore what jealousy is communicating, understand the fears underneath it, and develop ways to respond without letting it dictate your choices.
Agreements, Boundaries & Autonomy
Healthy agreements create clarity without requiring partners to control one another. We’ll explore what each person actually needs, distinguish boundaries from rules, and create agreements that respect both connection and autonomy.
Communication & Conflict
Non-monogamous relationships can make familiar relationship patterns more visible—and sometimes more complicated. We’ll work on having difficult conversations, navigating mismatched needs, and breaking cycles of defensiveness, criticism, withdrawal, or resentment.
Transitions & Relationship Changes
Opening an existing relationship, navigating a new partnership, experiencing NRE, changing agreements, or redefining a relationship can bring excitement and uncertainty at the same time. Therapy can provide space to slow down, communicate clearly, and make intentional choices rather than reactive ones.
Family, Culture & Mononormativity
Your relationships don't exist in a vacuum. Cultural expectations, family values, and assumptions about what relationships are “supposed” to look like can create additional pressure. We can explore those influences without assuming that monogamy is the goal.
An Evidence-Informed Approach That Fits Your Relationships
I’m Gottman trained, but I don't believe relationship therapy should require you to fit your relationship into a monogamous template.
I draw from relationship research and adapt the work to the people and relationships actually in the room. Whether you're working through jealousy, rebuilding trust, navigating multiple partnerships, or simply trying to communicate better, the goal is the same: relationships that feel honest, connected, and sustainable.
Virtual Therapy Across California
I provide virtual therapy for individuals, couples, and partners navigating non-monogamy and polyamory throughout California. Partners can join from different locations, making it possible to work together even when you don't share a home.
